Minjung lives in Adelaide with her husband, Inseo, and six year old daughter, Miju.

Minjung is enrolled in the Certificate III in Retail Baking, which is full-time for the first six months. In the second six months Minjung will complete her training through an industry placement. Minjung and her husband Inseo own their own bakery in Korea so this course will help them achieve their goal of being successful owner/operators.

Minjung says:
"I really enjoy studying at the TAFE SA Regency International Centre as, the facilities are really good and everyone is so helpful.  The facilitie,s such as the library, computers, bakeries, student rooms, all help make it a great place to learn."

Employer: Bakers Delight, Stirling
Position: Baker

Logan undertook a bakery apprenticeship while working at various Bakers Delight stores. He is now studying management subjects with Bakers Delight which will equip him with valuable skills to further develop his baking career.

Logan currently works for Bakers Delight Stirling where he is responsible for mixing and baking dough, displaying products, coordinating staff and stock rotation.

Logan says:
"TAFE SA is a great place to study. The facilities are good and maintained well. Teachers are always willing to help and are good communicators. The time taken to study each product is very good and I have developed a sound understanding of all basic products."

 

Student Name: Cheereen Bolt
Program: Bakery
Course: Certificate lll Retail Baking
Employer: Gawler South Bakehouse
Position: Pastry Cook

Cheereen currently works as a Pastry Cook at Gawler South Bakery. Her duties include producing pastries, decorating cakes and biscuits, stock control and serving customers when required.

Cheereen has been baking for the past six years and is due to finish her baking apprenticeship in 2009.

Cheereen says:
"I really enjoy study at TAFE. The shop is a great way to expose the public to what we are doing and helps the student remain focused on producing food for consumption. TAFE is a great place to learn."
