The Hospitality Program has several licensed arrangements with international hospitality schools in Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Africa, and India. These licensed arrangements allow the international schools to deliver the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality. Students receive a co-badged parchment on completion. These arrangements also provide direct articulation into the TAFE SA Bachelor program.
TAFE SA works with schools to deliver some hospitality units through the VET in Schools Program. Two teacher update sessions are run annually, with the schools delivering the program.
The Hospitality Program has close links with industry bodies including:
- Restaurant and Catering Association of SA
- Australian Hotels Association
- Hospitality Group Training
- Clubs SA
TAFE SA works closely with corporate hotels in Adelaide, including Hyatt Regency, Hilton International, Stamford and Sebel Playford, along with individual enterprises within the industry sector.
Valued industry partners support awards nights and graduations through generous sponsorship of student awards in various programs.
Through establishing and maintaining industry relationships, TAFE SA is better able to:
- Provide training solutions to industry partners on both an Association basis and an enterprise level
- Create personalised training opportunities to better meet enterprise skill needs
- Ensure the training provided meets the needs of industry associations and individual enterprises
- Ensure training and assessment methodologies are current to industry needs and standards
- Ensure prompt responsiveness to enterprise training requests
Through industry partnerships, students can be assured that the training they receive is current and meets the needs of the industry, both nationally and internationally.
