The Regency International Centre provides a range of high quality support services to ensure that your educational experience is both successful and enjoyable.
Support services include:
On-arrival greeting and airport reception service
Staff from the Regency International Student Unit will have pleasure in meeting you at the airport when you arrive in Adelaide and taking you to your temporary accommodation.
Confidential academic and personal counselling
Full time counsellors are available on-site to assist with any problems you may have of an academic or personal nature. Counselling services include: career and course counselling; help with learning problems; financial advice; accommodation assistance; help with stress-related or other medical problems; and advice on student visa rights and responsibilities.
Learning support
Extra teaching help is available to give you every possible opportunity to be successful in your studies. Learning support services include: help in organising work and study schedules; assistance with your English language and mathematical skills; help in preparing for tests, examinations and oral presentations; and support in developing study skills.
Orientation program
Before you commence your course of study you will participate in a formal orientation program. This program aims to:
- Familiarise you with the campus, the city of Adelaide and the public transportation system
- Provide information on student related policies and procedures and student visa regulations, rights and responsibilities
- Provide advice on renting accommodation, driving laws and road safety tips
- Familiarise you with study expectations and teaching methodologies; and
- Raise your awareness of Australian culture and customs.
